Cherryl T. Cooley, formerly Cherryl Floyd-Miller, is a poet, playwright and fiber artist still making art in her native South. She commonly explores themes of womanness, Southern culture, myth and folklore, race, family, love and icon culture. As Cherryl Floyd-Miller, she published three single-author volumes of poems: Utterance: A Museology of Kin (Sadorian, 2003), Chops (Nexus Press, 2004) and Exquisite Heats (Salt Publishing, 2008). This online studio space is a chronicle of her evolution as a writer and a human.
“I am at once a glance forward and a peek back, and hopefully living in the right time.” ~Cherryl T. Cooley
